ICBMC'12

Due to environmental concerns the interest in using natural polymers and bio-based materials has dramatically increased over the recent years in terms of both scientific base and technological and commercial developments.
Beside many crops products used as natural polymer sources, agricultural by-products are an important renewable mine of natural polymers. The transformation of these materials into materials with high added values and commercial products has forced the researchers in academia and in industry to undertake extensive research in the field of bio-based materials.
The goal of this conference is to foster understanding, scientific and technical progress, and recent knowledge in the field of natural polymers extraction, biopolymers, biomaterials and their blends, composites, biobased materials for energy conversion and IPNs.
This conference will provide a discussion forum for the worldwide community of scientists and engineers in the field of bio-based materials and composites. The conference will be attended by hundreds of Chemists, Physicists, Biologists, Technologists, Doctors and Engineers, making it a truly interdisciplinary conference.
The conference aims to emphasize interdisciplinary research on processing, morphology, structure and properties of natural polymers, biomaterials, biopolymers, their blends, composites, IPNS and gels from macro to nano scales and their various applications.
The conference will take place February 22, 23 and 24, 2012.
