Dr. Anass BENAYAD, joined the CEA in 2014, he is senior expert at the department of nanomaterial and nanotechnology. He is developing new activities around photoemission spectroscopy inoperandomode to study the redox process and electrolyte degradation mechanism in lithium ion batteries. From 2006 to 2013, he was senior researcher at Samsung Advanced Institute of technology (SAIT), where he was in charge of different projects related to material engineering for battery electrodes, 2D-materials (structured carbon and MoS2), and semiconductor materials for thin film transistors for LCD technology. Particularly, he developed an expertise in photoemission spectroscopy (XPS, UPS) supported by ab-initio calculations applied to large variety of inorganic and organic materials.Dr. Anass Benayad, completed his Ph.D in physics and chemistry of condensed matter from university of Bordeaux at the Institute of Chemistry and Condensed Matter of Bordeaux (ICMCB) in 2006. Dr. Anass Benayad, is author and co-author of more than 90 review papers and 12 patents.
